Family

After reading Leah's post about Hallie, I started thinking about what a wonderful family we have and are so lucky to be a part of. Lots of little stories came to mind. Having 5 brothers and 1 sister who are more protective than any of them will ever admit and loving me even in my stupidity.

Travis who saved me one night when what I thought was a persons head looking in my bathroom window, turned out to be an owl sitting in the window seal. For the thoughtfulness of B. She remembers everyone.

Then there was the time Chad and I were taking out a bucket of ashes from the wood stove and as we dumped it you could see a hot coals burning inside, it scared me and I told Chad we had to stomp them out and Chad did. He stuck his foot right into the bucket to stomp the coal and burned his foot badly. Tara is one of the kindest people that I know. Always concerned about every ones feelings.

Michelle seemed to be my pick me up. Sending a card or calling at just the right time. Reminding me that no matter what things seemed at the time I was going to be OK.

Just after my divorce, Cheyenne took me out with his friend to dinners and comedy clubs. It probably wasn't that fun for him but it was a big deal to me. In his quiet way he helped push me forward. Meredith is so easy to talk to and always listens to what I have to say.

At about 2 A.M. one morning I was awakened by Zeb. Who was so worried about where my life was going that he drove to my house and told me about his concerns, but more importantly that he loved me. Leah has such an outgoing personality and loves to be around the family.

Josh reminds me to keep focused. Know matter what the situation we need to remember that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants what is best for us, and to put our trust in him. Carol is very perceptive, and not afraid to ask a question and give you suggestions to help.

I don't know where to begin when I talk about Dad and Mom. The unconditional love that exists there is heart stopping. Dad and Mom have done more for me than I can ever repay them for in a million life times. There support of me and love even when I wasn't living up to my potential never stopped.

Tyler and Megan are the two sweet spirits that the Lord has blessed me with. It is amazing how we forget about ourselves when it comes to our children. I would do anything for my children to keep them safe and help them understand the important things in life.

Now for the love of my life. Troy makes my heart beat just a little faster, he is the air that I breath, he is the warm sunshine over my body. I am so blessed to have him for my husband. I am so blessed that he loves me. I am so blessed that he wants me for eternity.

I love all of you and am so grateful that you are a part of my life. Love Laura

Yeah, new post. You are so right. We do have such a wonderful family. And each member has so much importance.
P.S. Thanks for the new post, checking blogs helps me distract myself from my studies so I can hit the books that much harder five minutes later.

It is always great to read new posts. Sometimes it is the highlight of my day. It is easy to get tunnel vision with school so I appreciate the occasional reality check. This was an especially great post. Living far away can make you forget what a great family we have. I think that blogs and email are one of the best things about the internet. It makes it easier to stay in touch

I couldn't agree with you more. We have a wonderful and supportive family.
Mom and Dad are amazing and would take the shirt off their backs for any one of us. They are wonderful.

I am so happy for you and that you found the person that you truly want to spend eternity with. Although it was a rocky road to get to him you wouldn't be who you are if it had been different.
Give the kids a hug for me.

Thank you for your kind words and the thoughtfulness of this post.
Miss you...

You could probably tell that was from Leah, not Zeb! :)

Very good post. Like all families we've each had our struggles, but unlike many families we've been extremely blessed that we've been able to band together to help each other through. I'm so thankful for where our family is right now.

Good job Mom and Dad!
